REGISTERING AND DOWNLOADING THE APPLICATION
LogMein can be downloaded from the website www.Logmein.com . you would first have to register and create an account on this website. Logmein only needs to be installed o the machine that would be remote controlled. You will have to specify a name for your computer and type in your account details during the registration process.
Remember to select the “LogMein pro” radio button during installation of the application to make all features of the program available. Some of the Logmein feature include file sharing , mini meetings , remote access and the file manager.
You can control any number of PC’s from anywhere provided that the Logmein application is installed on the PC required to be controlled. Once Logmein has been installed, you can use any browser to access and operate the system from anywhere.
ACCESSING YOUR PC REMOTELY
With Logmein, you can access you pc from anywhere and control it as if you were actually sitting in front of your pc. Other than just performing tasks you can control all devices that are connected to the system. We now show you how to access your pc remotely using Logmein:
Go to website www.Logmein.com enter appropriate details and click logmein button. On the next screen you will be able to view the host computer desktop along with toolkit on the left pane. Click “remote control” tab and enter the remote systems windows username and password. Once a connection is established, a notification appears on the task bar notifying the person the host computer that the system is going to be controlled remotely.
You will also be able to view the remote ribbon on top of your window. This ribbon allows you to access several option and tools with a single click.
OPTIONS:
CONNECT PRINTER OPTION:
Using this option, you can use the printer connected to the remote machine to print files if required.
SYNC CLIPBOARD OPTION:
This option synchronizes the clipboards of both the remote and host computers. Any data copied on one machine can be pasted on the other machine as well.
LOCK KEYBOARD OPTION:
You can use this option to lock the keyboard on the host machine to prevent it from being used by another user at the host machine.
